KEYSTONE YOUTH ACADEMY
Keystone Youth Academy (KYA), a B-BBEE Level 1 Not for Profit Company seeks to empower Black
youth, principally women and disabled, to access skills and experience to enable their entrance
into the engineering sector.
The KYA Programme consists of a Learnership, engaging with qualified and experienced coaches,
the provision of a range of complementary industry-related soft skills courses, and life skills
training. This enables unprecedented flexibility and the capacity to tailor the KYA Programme
to align with our client’s specific needs and strategies, while ensuring that learners receive
the full benefit of a uniquely comprehensive array of training and coaching methodologies.
KYA is well positioned to assist clients in maximising their B-BBEE level, predominantly through
optimising spend (points) under their Skills Development Scorecard. And, because KYA is a B-BBEE
Level 1 not for profit company working with us provides a great opportunity to boost your
Procurement spend and earn points under Enterprise & Supplier Development.

KEYSTONE PROJECT RECRUITMENT (KPR) – Subsidiary
As the driving force behind the creation of KYA, KPR provides insights into the needs and drivers of the engineering and built environment sector, ensuring our learners meet employers’ expectations. The continued access to KPR’s database assists in identifying potential learners for the KYA Programme, and the critical link after the conclusion of the programme for the placement of graduate learners.

CUTTING THRU TRAINING – Subsidiary
Keystone Youth Academy (KYA), through its subsidiary Cutting
Thru Training (Pty) Ltd (CTT), provides accredited technical training.
CTT is registered and accredited by the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA)
to provide Drawing Office training for the engineering and construction sectors. The course CTT
is accredited to provide, is the Computer Aided Drawing Office Practice
(SAQA ID 66071 FETC Computer Aided Drawing Office Practice) Course. This course is aimed at
professionals or students wanting to pursue a career in engineering and using Draughting and
CAD technology as the entry to employment in this sector.
On completion of this course the graduates receive a Further Education and Training Certificate:
Computer Aided Drawing Office Practice (CAD). This NQF Level 4 course with 161 credits that will
enable an individual to start to pursue a career in Draughting. These include Draughting in
the following six main disciplines: architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, piping and
structural.
This course prepares candidates for a career in engineering by teaching them the specific Drawing
Office and business customs, procedures and processes potential employers need their staff to
have. Amongst the specific skills that graduates are taught that are required by this sector are;
Health and Safety, Communication, Drawing Office Practice, Project and Time Management, 2D and
3D Computer Aided Drawing and Modelling.

KYA CAD TRAINING – Subsidiary
KYA CAD Training (Pty) Ltd, a Level 2 B-BBEE company (with KYA as its largest shareholder) is an
Autodesk Accredited Training and Certification Centre (ATC) providing Autodesk Accredited Software
and Autodesk Professional Certification Training.
