OUR PROGRAMS

What sets KYA apart is our comprehensive approach. Our programs include accredited technical modules along with training in business communication, computer literacy, self-awareness, and leadership. We also offer on-the-job coaching and mentorship opportunities. We are committed to creating desirable employees and job candidates who can make a positive impact in the workplace. Join us in empowering the next generation of skilled professionals!

KYA recognises that the underrepresentation of African talent in engineering fields such as mining, petrochemical, renewable energy, rail and construction is a significant barrier to achieving Employment Equity and transformation. This shortage is primarily due to difficulties in accessing suitable education and training opportunities. Let's collaborate to overcome these challenges and foster a more inclusive and diverse workforce.

KYA empowers principally black female youth, including differently-abled individuals, by providing them with the necessary skills and experience to enter the industries with while optimising B-BBEE and cultivating a diverse talent pool. Skills Development is a priority element of B-BBEE, and KYA is well-positioned to assist clients in maximising their points under the Skills Development Scorecard. This scorecard measures an organisation's development of the competencies of black individuals, both internally and externally.

YOUTH CENTRIC INTERVENTIONS

Creating opportunities in the Engineering and Built Environment sector

KYA offers a diverse range of accredited technical training opportunities in the Engineering and Built Environment sector. World Economic Forum recognises the industry's crucial role in the global economy, employing around 100 million people and generating nearly $10 trillion annually, about 6% of global GDP. The industry provides essential built assets, including transport infrastructure, social infrastructure, housing, and commercial real estate.

As job roles evolve and some become obsolete, the construction sector remains essential due to the growing global population. Advances in technology create opportunities for skill development in design and construction. KYA, with its training partners, offers training in key computer packages that employers in the sector value.

Skills in computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting have broad applications across various fields, including electrical, aeronautical, mechanical, electronic, architectural, and civil drafting. Mastering these skills can unlock diverse career opportunities.
